The venue was stunning, the staff were incredibly attentive, and everything ran so smoothly from start to finish. We’ve had so many friends and family tell us how beautiful the day was — and we couldn’t agree more.

Nothing was ever too much trouble, and you made the whole planning process so easy and completely stress-free. From the initial meetings right through to the big day, we felt so supported and looked after.

All the little touches made such a big difference, and the bridal suite was just perfect — the ideal place to get ready and take it all in.

We had our wedding at Valleyside Barn on 12th July 2025, and it was truly the most incredible day from start to finish. Everything about the venue was absolutely perfect — from the beautiful setting to the seamless coordination, we honestly couldn’t have asked for more.

Emma and Matt were professional, warm, and clearly experienced in hosting weddings — everything ran smoothly, and we were able to fully enjoy our day without stress. The atmosphere, the layout, the surroundings… all stunning.

Emma & Matt at Valleyside were amazing. So friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them. They were so accommodating and helped us create the most perfect day, it was exactly how we imagined and more.

The Venue is so beautiful and we had so many guests compliment the barn and surrounding grounds.

We are so glad we chose valleyside and would do it all again in a heartbeat if we could. We will cherish the memories forever.

A Dream Wedding at Valleyside Barn

From the moment we first visited Valleyside Barn, we knew it was the one. We were drawn to the natural beauty of the grounds, the charm of the barn, and the peaceful countryside setting – it just felt right. It was everything we had imagined and more.

What truly confirmed we made the right choice was how smoothly everything ran on the day. Emma and Matt were absolutely fantastic – they were always there when we needed them, but never intrusive. Their presence was calm and reassuring, and they made sure everything unfolded exactly as planned.

Communication throughout the entire planning process was exceptional. Emma was always quick to respond to our questions, no matter how small, and she made us feel completely supported every step of the way. That level of care and professionalism made a world of difference.

The barn itself is stunning – beautifully maintained with a perfect balance of rustic charm and elegance. The grounds provided the perfect backdrop for our photos, and so many of our guests commented on how breath-taking the venue was.

Valleyside Barn gave us the wedding we envisioned – relaxed, beautiful, and filled with love. We’re so grateful to Emma and Matt for helping make it all happen, and we couldn’t recommend the venue more highly.

We had our wedding at Valleyside Barn in June 2025. From start to finish Emma was amazing. It was the one and only venue we viewed as once we had a look around, we knew nothing else would compare. Emma was brilliant at answering any questions promptly and the organisation from start to finish was outstanding. The team worked their socks off all day to make sure everything ran smoothly. The honeymoon suite and the pods were an extra bonus meaning we could make it a whole weekend of celebrating with our friends and family. It was everything we dreamed of and more. We definitely have Emma and Matt to thank for that! All the guests commented on the beautiful venue and how relaxed the day was. Thank you so much for an amazing day, one we will never forget!

We had our beautiful wedding day at Valleyside, and we cannot recommend this venue enough.

From the moment we viewed we absolutely fell in love with it, it was perfect for our small intimate wedding.

Emma was fantastic and so helpful with any query or worry that I had leading up to the day. She was prompt with her responses which made everything less stressful when you are worrying about the small details of your wedding day.

She kept in contact throughout the lead up to ensure that everything was in place for the big day.

Then our day came and I cannot thank Emma & Matt enough, it was exactly how we envisioned our day, relaxed and without any stress. Our guests mentioned how amazing you both were on the day, and for that we are very grateful.

Emma was there on hand to help with anything that needed doing on the morning, which made such a difference when you are trying to organise your bridal party!

Valleyside Barn delivered out dream wedding, and so much more.

From our first visit we were immediately impressed by the thought and care that Matt & Emma have given to the venue. Restoration of the historic collection of buildings has all been part of their vision, with their eye for stylish design creating a spectacular setting that maintains the character of the place. Their eye for detail extends to the cleanliness throughout, which was faultless.

The way the venue functions has been well thought through, allowing wedding parties to enjoy the whole day at the venue, whilst the zoned spaces fulfil different functions throughout the day. The wedding service typically happens in an idyllic courtyard where we also had canapes. Later the wedding barn is revealed, serving as a spacious setting whilst still feeling intimidate. Later still after food, the venue opens up further to outdoor space with ready access for guests to walk down to the meadows to the river.

The venue has 3 six person safari tents that can be rented separately. These were to a high standard and complemented the other accommodation options in Bickleigh well.

Last, but most importantly, Matt & Emma are the best thing about this venue. They work effortlessly together and made our day the best it could possibly be. As a venue they only do one wedding per week and dedicate themselves to making it as brilliant as possible. On the day they took care of everything, fulfilling the function of a wedding coordinator so that all suppliers and external providers were kept informed and in the loop.
