Beautiful Aztec Boho Shoot in Hampshire
We’re so pleased to share with you today a bold and bright styled shoot that still oozes country elegance. Set in the stunning grounds of My Spare Garden, a gorgeous blank canvas wedding venue in Hampshire, todays Aztec boho wedding inspiration will be certain to make you smile! On the day wedding co-ordinator Tasha Mae, explains the concept behind the shoot…
“Last year whilst searching through Facebook, I discovered a new outdoor wedding venue called My Spare Garden, located not far from me in Romsey, Hampshire. As an ‘On the Day Wedding & Events Co-ordinator’ the majority of my work takes place at outdoor DIY venues, so I thought it would be a good idea to get in touch and see if I could meet with the owners.
On my arrival I was warmly welcomed by the owners, Penny & Graham and from this moment I knew instantly I would love to work with this lovely couple in the very near future. Whilst chatting we discovered we were both so called ‘newbies’ to the wedding industry so we were both keen to get to know other local wedding suppliers. The answer to this was easy in my eyes…a styled photoshoot!
Whilst being shown around their stunning grounds I couldn’t help but notice the fields surrounding their home had ponies grazing in them. This inspired me to ask whether the ponies may be suitable to star in a photoshoot. With Penny’s love of horse riding she told me that her good friend, Lyn had two camera confident ponies, Reilly and Pinocchio that she thought may be up for a bit of modelling! Hearing this put my creative mind into overdrive!
Adding a splash of colour with the aztec patterned rugs and blankets mixed with the beautiful flowers and natural grasses created by Jessica Hillier Floral Design, along with the handmade bohemian jewellery from Palomita Jewellery, our ‘Aztec Boho’ styled wedding was born. All of the suppliers involved were über talented bringing their own little piece of genius to the shoot.
Having my daughter and shoot stylist, Ella Gilchrist also helped in making my vision come together on the day.
With stunning dresses, tailored suits and beautiful flower girl dresses from Minster Designs Bridal Boutique, alongside beautiful hair and make-up by Lucy Bernier Hair, Make-Up & Beauty, our models, Courtney, Dan and little Ava looked amazing!
Combine all of this with a cosy glamping bridal suite from South Coast Glamping, a breath-taking cake by Gates Bakes, super scrummy picnic food from 7th Wave Events, aztec designed stationery and a mountain of handmade macramé by Laurel Designs all captured by the super talented photographers, The Photo Rooms, we couldn’t be happier with the results!
When someone says to you never work with children and animals…it’s as risky as you make it and I believe we proved this famous saying wrong!
