Hillfort Woodland Weddings is a unique venue near Salisbury, Wiltshire, set in a beautiful wooded Iron Age Hillfort with stunning views.

We fell in love with this fantastic location and wanted to share it with you. Hillfort Woodland Weddings offers a woodland clearing set in an ancient Iron Age Hillfort, which is now the most beautiful woodland thicket with beautiful foxgloves, bluebells and rhododendrons with stunning views for miles over the Cranborne chase.

You and your guests will arrive at our gates, park the car and then walk down a woodland track to a beautiful grass ride edged with Foxgloves Rhododendron and bluebells, (in season) to an aisle with a natural cathedral of trees opening out onto the ceremony area which consists of a silver birch arbour for the exchange of vows, with your guests sitting on sheepskin covered, log filled, Gabion benches. Before or after the ceremony your guest can mingle at our woodland bar or around the fire pit. The marquee area is large enough for a stretch tent or Tipi to accommodate your guests for their meal.
You can even be led down the aisle on horseback for a really unique entrance.
We can also offer clay shooting the evening before or the morning afterwards with an international gold medal champion a short woodland walk away.
For guests who don’t want to walk to the ceremony area, small electric buggies can be hired to ferry them to the seating area.
We also have three luxury off grid cabins for overnight stays and camping is possible too.
We are only having a small number of weddings per year to preserve this amazing space and its wildlife.

The venue is yours for the weekend, you can use the marquee for a rehearsal dinner or family dinner the night before and maybe finish up with a barbecue on the Sunday morning.
This is a brand new venue ( which is why there are no reviews) and we have just had our open day. Without exception everyone who came said that they absolutely loved it and you can’t really understand how special it is, until you come and see it. Comments were;
