Rooted Ceremonies

I wanted to say how beautiful, natural and outstanding you were at holding our space for us. You are just so where you’re meant to be, holding people as they go through all these different portals in life.
Your input, words, patience, thoughts and creations meant so much to us. It was beautiful from start to finish. It all came together exactly as we imagined it and more.
The ceremony was a huge part for us both, and we completely and utterly put our trust in you. We knew that we could, and we’re so glad we did.
We felt in the safest of hands, with the joy that you radiate and the reassurance that you gave. You came across so calm and centred, which is exactly what we needed with all that we felt inside.

I don’t even know where to start! Our wedding long-weekend was absolutely magic, and Joy held us and supported us every step of the way. She is so full of amazing talents and ideas, and helped to make a ceremony totally fitting to us, the location, and the people we were celebrating with. It was as if everything wove together perfectly through her interventions, and our intentions for the weekend could shine out. She also has such attention to sustainability in a really heartfelt and genuine way, meaning that the whole weekend was rooted in a sense of really authentic magic. Gorgeous confetti lovingly grown in her own garden is just the icing on the cake! Thank you for everything Joy… Can’t recommend enough!

Joy was the celebrant for our wedding in August 2025. Joy was there from the tiny little sparks where we began thinking about where we wanted to get married. And like a gardener patiently watering a seedling, she asked us questions and brought out insights which bloomed into our beautiful, most precious, intimate wedding in the Summer. Joy brought excitement, curiosity, organisational focus, and a little bit of magic to the whole process of planning our ceremony. We were able to include rituals that honoured our parents, ancestors, and the beautiful community in our lives. In the end, we had a beautiful ceremony which was a true reflection of our spirituality, values, and love for each other and our community. We feel truly blessed to have had such a special ceremony held together by Joy. Once you meet Joy, it does not take much convincing to see how truly gifted she is at holding sacred space. We are ever thankful to her!!

Joy played an amazing role in helping us craft our wedding ceremony and held us all beautifully and joyfully. Her calming presence helped us feel at ease, the ceremony felt meaningful and she gave us the confidence to go with exactly what we wanted and to leave out the things we didn’t want. We ended up with a heartfelt home crafted wedding which felt truly US.

When we discovered Joy at Rooted Ceremonies, we knew instantly we had found something special- but nothing prepared us for how beautifully she would craft our Sunflower Blessing. As our daughter hadn’t been present at our actual wedding, we wished to honour our union again in a way that felt deeply meaningful and full of hope. Joy listened attentively from the very first moment, gently exploring our story, our memories, our hopes. Drawing on her philosophy of rootedness, reverence and belonging, she wove a ceremony that felt grounded in who we are- and what we cherish together.
