Sheila Harrison of From the Heart Ceremonies is a Yorkshire-based celebrant passionate about providing beautiful and memorable ceremonies.
Hello, I’m Sheila Harrison, and I am a trained celebrant and member of the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants. I am passionate about providing ceremonies that are beautiful and memorable and all about you, not me.
I am warm and approachable and love to write poetry and prose, so I will help you find the right words for your ceremony and present them in a meaningful way that is authentic to you and your occasion. I will talk with you and meet you as many times as is required to ensure you are happy with your ceremony and able to feel happy and relaxed on your day.
I trained in performing arts and teaching so I am comfortable in front of an audience and able to project my voice clearly. I am down to earth and sincere and positively embrace difference in terms of gender, sexuality and culture. Everyone is unique and so your ceremony should be too.
I love the outdoors, being Yorkshire born and bred and spending many hours walking in the Derbyshire hills, so I can totally appreciate the unique beauty of a ceremony where you are at one with nature.
I enjoy incorporating beautiful symbolic and age-old traditions into ceremonies, and these are particularly effective and meaningful outside. My approach is to listen, encourage and ultimately create something unique and wonderful together.
