Charlotte Simpson is a down-to-earth and highly creative independent celebrant working across Cheshire and surrounding counties.
With a background in theatre, creative writing and documentary-making, Charlotte Simpson is essentially a storyteller. Long ago she ran a youth theatre in Ecuador and she later worked as a teacher in two London prisons.
She then spent ten years at the BBC – most recently producing factual programmes for Radio Four – before taking time out to have children, and then retraining with the Fellowship of Independent Celebrants.
Charlotte now lives in the beautiful Cheshire countryside with her husband, David, their two little girls and three cats. She loves doing all kinds of outdoor ceremonies – especially in wild or unusual locations. She offers a wide range of different ceremony types, and is happy to design bespoke ceremonies for any occasion.
Every ceremony is different – inspired by the people at its heart. Whatever your vision for your ceremony, Charlotte will find a way to achieve it.
She’s an expert at drawing out stories and ideas from her clients, even if they’re not yet sure of what they want. She is equally at home with a wild, spontaneous and free-spirited fun-fest as she is with something emotional, spellbinding and choreographed.
Charlotte lives in Cheshire but travels throughout the UK for weddings. Her wedding fee (£950) is inclusive of all UK expenses. She also offers destination weddings across Europe (£1450, including all travel and accommodation expenses) and further afield (price on application).
If you choose Charlotte as your celebrant, you’re putting your ceremony in the hands of a down-to-earth but highly creative professional, who’s completely focused on you and your wishes.
